Hi Osprey,
That is so kind of you for this info. It definitely makes me believe I am on the right track.  I don't have my records in front of me but I have traced that the John Penrose who married the Joan....(I think if memory serves me correct) his father was John and mother Ann, I have the baptism info and the is the earliest entry I could find when looking.  there was no mention of them in this district so I found the Lanivet records show a John marry an Ann Roberts so I thought this may be the connection that John and Ann moved to A property in Broadoak called Babington.  I think it was owned by a Fortesque (excuse spelling).  that is about where I am at with them so I need to find out if there is a connection.  You are a real genie -Thankyou.
Regards
Reoinna

I've just found another article online about the Penrose family. Revd. John Penrose, later vicar of St Gluvias, was born in Exeter, Devon & his father was a bookseller. He was educated at the High School in Exeter, graduated from Exeter College, Oxford, ordained, became curate of Malling in Kent, then curate at Shobrooke, Rector of Sowton in 1737 & Vicar of St Gluvias in 1741.

This looks like his baptism

& a brother William was baptised 15 April 1716
