Then store the scanned images onto TWO CD's; keep one yourself, and give the other to a family member to keep safe for you !

I just posted on another thread about where to store your family history and came across this post.  The same compnay www.yournutshell.com has facilities for storing scanned documents, audio files, video files etc.  I currently use it for recording my own life history and keeping on top of all my financial paperwork.  Am just about to go on hols and am going to scan in copies of my travel documents (flight details, insurance document)etc. in case the worst happens and they go missing.  As long as I can get to a computer, I can get a copy of them back.
