Hello, I am looking for any information on Thomas Christian b.1831 at Braddan, Isle of Man. I understand that he married Esther Mawson nee Wood b.1811 from Haile, Cumberland. They had a son John Wood Christian c. 1839 either in IOM or Liverpool. Kind Regards Bullamore.

Hi
Are you sure about Thomas Christian's date of birth? If he was born 1831 he can't have had a son born 1839. What census info do you already have?

The only one I can see that vaguely fits in 1851 is this in Liverpool:
HO107 Piece 2178 Folio 489 Page 19

THOMAS CHRISTIAN head abt 1811 Isle of Man Block maker
Ann Christian wife abt 1821 Liverpool
JOHN CHRISTIAN abt 1840 Liverpool
Katherine Christian abt 1849 Liverpool
James Christian 2 mths Liverpool

However, if you are sure about his marriage, unless his first wife died and he remarried this can't be the family.
