Abraham HOWE [HOW]
« on: Wednesday 01 July 09 11:04 BST (UK) »
Hello, I am interested in the family of Abraham Howe a clock and watchmaker who lived in Cheddon Fitzpaine. I have details of his death and two marriages but nothing about his birth. Does anyone have any Cheddon Fitzpaine information, or a connection with this family. Bvc

Hello, thanks for this. I have had a quick look but there doesn't seem to be any reference to Somerset Howes there. Will do a bit more looking. Regards BVC

Hello, I am sorry, I thought I had put the dates in. Abraham was born sometime in the 1770's and died in 1852. Thanks for all the replies so far. Brenda.

If either marriage was after 1837 then a marriage cert will (hopefully ) give fathers name and occupation and be the first step towards finding his origins.

Hello, O do know something about the family and Abraham's father but I was more interested in the watch and clockmaking side of things. Most of my family were shoe makers and I am hoping to find out more about Abraham's trade and how it might have been run. Regards Brenda.
