Vic Death Index Lookup 1923 ish - Sarah RICHMOND

I am not sure about the death of Sarah Richmond in Hobart 1854. It just does not tie in with the areas that the family lived in etc. Though I have no proof that its not my Sarah.

Also on a particluar marriage cert of my James S Hall to a Rosalie Allison Vic 1864, one of the witnesses is a Sarah Richmond.

This is the particuuar dilemma that got my grey matter working approx 6 months ago & I received some great info and tips from Rootchat, yourselves both included.

My only conclusion is  that Rosalie Allison and Rosetta Phyllis Richmond were the same person. Therefore the witness on Rosalie's marriage cert being a Sarah Richmond could be Rosetta's sister.

Gosh this is certainly confusing to say the least.

Mmmm am wondering what happened to the Sarah - the witness to the wedding in 1864 in Vic then?

Hi Jenn - yes that my ggrandmother Rosetta Phyllis Pitt/Richmond/Hall - lol the list goes on.

I have that cert & am looking @ it now - witnesses were Matilda J Richmond & ? ? Bremner. Rosetta lits her mothers name as Matilda Julia Pemberton (Pitt).
The name changes in this family are incredible I am battling to get my head around them all.lol

I have always wondered why Rosetta used the name Hazeman within her name several times ?? She was bapt Rosetta Phillis Neasman Pitt in Tassie.

Oh well another puzzling question to figure.

Matilda Jane Richmond married Frederick Samuel Bremner in Victoria in 1867 as per my earlier post. He was probably the witness you refer to as ?? Bremner.

As far as I can see they had  3 children
 1868 #8523 Edwin Frederick
 1870 #15665 George Eustace
 1873 #23752 Gertrude Matilda

Check and cross checked the marriages and deaths of the 5 Sarah Richmonds in Victoria at tha time and none seem to be your Sarah.
