Hi cundy
My money is on Jane as her mother but you need to go through those BT transcripts that I gave the link to.
Best regards

Hi cundy
If you go to :
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;c=1309819;t=browsable;w=0
Select a county - Northumberland or Durham and then a parish, you should be able to look through whichever you wan. it's tedious ploughing through but, if you have a rough idea of the dates your interested in and you take note of the date range for that parish, you can go in at a particular page. For example, if the dates for the parish are 1770-1850 and there are 900 pages and you want to look at 1810, you could try going to page 450 first to get a hit.
Note that some of the parishes in Northumberland are in the Durham section.
If you couldn't find the Mabel entry, then it sounds as if the 'patron' who submitted the entry to the LDS had made an error. i still think that the Jane is most likey.
Regards
