I am looking for a birth c 1864 Whitford Flint
thomas Jones  his mother was Sarah Jones a widow by 1871  still living Whitford, she later went on to marry Samuel Spencer in 1872

Yes we have done Spencer's and a closer look at the birth and marriage  cert made me think why did Jemima Francis refer to herself as Formally Jones when her birth cert says she was Jemima Spencer .I have now found out that Sarah Jones had been previously married and had two children be for her marriage to Samuel Spencer .Suz found her
1871 census in Whitford
Sarah Jones widow age 36 Pauper
Thomas Jones son age 7 born Whitford
Mary Elizabeth Jones  age 8 mths
Sarah married Samuel Spencer 1872
Jemima was born 1873 all are listed as Spencer's

I cant rule that marriage out but as Sarah is only 36 in 1871 wouldn't she be to Young to marry in 1850 been through Free BMDs for a death for Daniel which must have been 1870-71 given the age of Mary only 8mths in 71 .cant find a candadate of the right age but there again if he was a coal miner he could of died any where and he could of been a lot older than Sarah .I cant find them on 1861 census to confirm ages I have looked for a Daniel Jones in deaths there is only one in the time period to be the father of Mary Jones age 8 mths and he was 88 years old so that rules him out
