Deptford Marriage Lookup please

Hello

I am seeking a marriage (possibly at St Paul) Deptford between Michael Dixon and Sarah, circa 1825.

Also Michael's father, also named Michael Dixon, to Phyllis circa 1800.

Please can anyone help me with this?   Thank you for your time.

Found this on the IGI:

Michael Dixon     27 June 1822  St. George the Martyr,  Southwark, Surrey

Spouse:  Sarah Warthall

Shown as an extracted record so should be accurate.

Yes, I think that could be the one.  The 1861 census of Poplar shows Sarah as born c1803 Greenwich and looking at the IGI there is a Peter WARTHALL baptised Greenwich 1807 son of John and Martha.  Unfortunately the IGI http://www.familysearch.org is incomplete for Greenwich hence no baptism of any Sarah c1803 which would help confirm.  It looks like Peter may marry a Hannah DIXON 1831, again St George the Martyr Southwark - I wonder if she is a relative of Michael ???

Both your replies are very encouraging and yes, I do see these entries on IGI.

I noticed that Michael Dixon and Sarah gave one of their daughters the middle name of Martha, so quite possibly Sarah was a daughter of John & Martha Warthall.

Shame the transcripts are incomplete for Greenwich on IGI.   Never mind, this is very useful information, so thanks again.

Sarah WARTHALL baptised St Alfege Greenwich 3 Apr 1803 (born 14 Mar) dau of Jn'o & Martha, labourer.

Hi Carol,

Sarah and Michael are my great-great-great grandparents...

How are you related to them?

I would love to hear from you share information.

The info that others have supplied on here is correct, sarah and michaels siblings, Hannah and Peter did marry, they had 3 children and hannah went on to re-marry.

Sarah and Michael are buried in Tower Hamlets Cemtery along with a few of their children and a grandchild.
