Ya hoo, got them in 1851 :) ;D

1851 Census
HO107/2413/126/6
Fawdon,Gosforth, Northumberland

John GORDON, 29, head, mar, ag lab, born Ireland
Margaret, 29, wife, mar, born Ireland
Peter, 5, son, born Ireland
Bridget, 2, daug, born Ireland
William, 1 month, born Fawdon, Northumberland

Arent you you incredibly lucky ;D Just arrived in England to have William and appear on census ;)

Peter appears to have stayed unmarried and appears with Mother Margaret on censuses up til 1901. Margaret is 80 in 1901.

This all ties in as William born 1849 named his first John ;)

There is also a possibility that the son of William and Jane born abt 1870 on 1881 Census with them, was born before marriage.

Birth;
John GASGOIGNE, September 1870, Morpeth,10b 315
