your family tree mags wanted
« on: Sunday 27 February 05 00:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I would like to buy any unwanted family tree mags you may have. Or I would be happy to pay for photocopied articles if  anyone were willing to copy some for me.

I am new to genaeology and am buying everything possible to read. I would be happy to buy a whole or part set if one were available. please pm me if you can help.

Nick,

I should post you all of Sarah's old mags without her realising!

By the way www.genealogysupplies.co.uk sell back issues on CD. Go to BOOKS/MAGS/DVD and go to Family Tree Magazine.

Hi earley

Personally, I think you'll find more wisdom and help here on Rootschat than you will in reading dozens of FH magazines! :)
Trystan and Sarah have created a rolling magazine.
And, of course, its 24 hours! :)

best wishes

Paul

I love to read them in my lunch break in the car. My work is Surveying schools  over three counties and I love my mid day break. Classic FM, flask of soup flask of tea ,salmon sarnies and the best reading matter you can get. Heaven.! ;D

The YFTree publisher site is full of dead links  has no search facility and no back issues Even all the contacts are dead ? :o hopeless.

I'll look at the site you suggested thanks.
Edit: the site suggested unfortunately only has `Family tree'  mags that are over 10 years old and very out of date.

If anyone reading this does have any mags for sale please do still get in touch thanks.  :)

I have plenty that I no longer look at it and you are welcome to have them but the postage would be horrendous.  Whereabouts are you?   I live in Sussex.

Hi Paul yes I have bid on a couple this week but they finally sold for £10.00-£15.00 each and I refuse to pay silly money for a paper magazine. I want to read it not invest in it! ::)

Even at £5.00 each  when you add £2.00 postage each mag you have a bill of  £20.00 for 3x magazines -crazy!

There are plenty of  lovely folk on rootschat I'm sure will be happy to sell me some magazines at sensible prices

Wow - that is crazy, earley.  I never bothered checking how much they were.  As you say, you want something to read, not a share in the company!

best wishes

Paul
