You will find that Mary Davidson, maiden surname Scott, died in 1867. I found it on Scotland's People free search. You will have to buy credits to view it. Can't find Joseph so expect he must have died pre 1855.
Unfortunately I haven't come across your Broomfield names in my research.

I'd taken some random photo's of headstones whilst at Coldingham Priory last month, of any with Nairn, Davidson & Robertson on them.  I was just having a look thru' them and haven't I got the headstone for Robert Davidson Gray, his wife Agnes Aitchison and their son Hugh aged 16 months.

I also took one of a "James Nairn McDougall (MD JP) Born 10/10/1839 Died 12/10/1911 for 48 years the beloved physician in this district."  Assume he must be a relation but at the moment can't work out who he'd have belonged to.  More digging to do.

Hi,
I'm chipping in on this thread with a request of my own:

Does anyone have any records, MI or otherwise, for William Ramsay LL D of Templehall, Coldingham, or his children, all four sons baptised at Coldingham (no records found so far for the daughters).  I know these people scattered, but they all started their lives at Coldingham:

James Ramsay, baptised 1745 (died before 1778)

John Cumming Ramsay, baptised 1746 (became an advocate in Edinburgh, died 1782)

Alexander/Robert Ramsay, baptised 1748, married Margaret Hogg

David Ramsay baptised 1750, married Mary McLeod of McLeod (Captain, RN, buried at Inveresk, 1818)

Essex Ramsay born 1751 (married Hugh Milliken, Merchant, Port Glasgow)

Jean Ramsay born? died 1772 Preston House, Prestonpans

Any snippets of information would be welcome,

Many thanks, br1gau

Hi tisonlymoi,

It would be easier now to let me know what gaps you have and I will see what I have in the trees.
