HEPBURNS/HEYBURNS of Ireland

I am researching the Hepburns of Ulster and have a website on my Castlefinn, Donegal Ancestors at www.hepburnofdonegal.com.

I am currently looking into all the Hepburn/Heyburns that lived in RAPHOE, KILLYGORDON, STRANORLAR, STRABANE and URNEY as well as those that immigrated from these towns to NEW YORK & PHILADELPHIA, USA, and to PAISLEY & DUMBARTON in Scotland, and also to NEW ZEALAND.

I have a Hepburn, Catherine Hepburn she died. 18 May 1815 at Wairarapa, Masterton, NZ. She  married Henry Donkin on the 20 May 1885 in New Zealand. Her father was John Hepburn of Strabane, County Tyrone, Ireland. She was his youngest daughter.

Does she fit anywhere in your research? I have no idea if John Hepburn came out to NZ himself

Yes, I have Catherine Hepburn. No her father John Hepburn never travelled to NZ. He died in Strabane in 1869. Catherine and her sister, Faith Hepburn, immigrated to NZ in 1880 but Faith returned to Strabane and died a spinster in 1922.
