I am trying to trace my husbands family his grandfather was called Albert J Coley a mariner who married Elizabeth Forster in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1920 we believe he was born in South Africa as his father was the dep commisioner of the cape mounted police his name was John Coley at the moment that is as far as I have got can anyone put me on the right line to go further back or have they any details that will help Thanks.
