Hi

Now I'm confused

Quote
Thomas Harvey and Mary Harvey nee duff got married 1901 district of Kinning park, County Lanark, Glasgow

So this was the illegitimate Thomas Harvey b 1864 mother Elizabeth and he married Mary Duff

Quote
but when Thomas Harvey gets married his mother is listed as Mary Harvey nee duff,

Lemonstaw, slow down and if needs be put your post down on paper before you submit it to be as sure as possible you are asking what you meant to ask for. I had exactly the same problem when I first joined the site back in December 2008, but I persevered and posting soon came a lot easier.

Hi

Don't worry - we were all newbies once so we know how difficult it can be.

We may ask a lot of questions but it's just to get things clear in our minds so we don't give you incorrect info or send you down the wrong track

NOW

I am having some difficulty finding Thomas in the censuses so can you tell me:

How old is Thomas on his marriage cert?

What is his occupation

Re: the other Thomas - his alleged father - is any occupation shown for him

Is there any info re: when Thomas Harvey his alleged father - married Mary Duff

In 1871 - Thomas Harvey and Mary Duff do not have a Thomas b 1864/65 living with them

The transcription is dreadful and I only found the entry by using Jemima as the search criteria - indexed as Hawey
