1841 Census - Hanmere Area - Francis Owen(s)
« on: Sunday 27 February 05 18:21 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for Francis Owen(s) in the 1841 census.  He would be about age 22 and possibly have an occupation of wheelwright or saddler.

I am searching the Hanmere area,  since he states he was born in Hanmere in the 1881 census.   (He was married up in the City of Chester in 1845, so that will be my next search area if no luck here.)

His father's name may also be Francis Owen and his mother may be Margaret.  Siblings may include Margaret, Harriet, George, and Richard.  I've not yet confirmed these names.

Thank-you VERY much in advance for any assistance you can provide.   Carol

Hi Carol,
Could not see any of the Owen(s) Family you asked for on the 1841, 1851, or Baptisms in Hanmer.
I did find a John Owen, 30. Saddler. Elizabeth, Wife, 25. Daughter, Allien? 3 Months.
Sorry that's all I could see.

Paul

Paul - Thanks much for the look-up.  I'll file away the John Owen, occupation of saddler, as a possible relative since I'm hoping the profession stayed in the family.   Carol
