Margaret Hayes - St Helens - 1871

Hello

Following a hunch by taking back a certain HAYES family in St Helens

In 1891 Margaret Hayes was aged 59, a widow, born and living in St Helens. However in 1881 she is aged 40, still a widow though and in Parr, nr St Helens. 1881 she is with Sons George who is 23 and Richard who is 9 and John aged 1. They live at 9 Langtree Street.

Is Margaret still a widow in 1871? - Also does she have a son Thomas?

I think you have the wrong 1881 entry.  Have a look at Joseph Hayes aged 50 b Parr - Margaret 49 b Windle

The last 3 children on the 1881 are living with her in 1891 plus son John
