Frederick William Bullas b 1898/99
« on: Tuesday 21 July 09 11:19 BST (UK) »
I am trying to trace Fredericks family as he was the first wife of my Grandmother...Have a few leads by nothing substantial yet.

Frederick was born in the west Midlands and married Ellen Known to family as Doris Sowden.

He died in 1922 but that is all I have. Would appreciate any input on this one.

Laurie

Hello Tati and Pastmaster

Thank you so much for the input...It is really appreciated and will now chase these links :)

Kind regards

Laurie

Hi Laurie (and Mr Pastmaster :))

This looks like a possible candidate:

Birth:
Frederick William Bullas
Sep 1899 West Bromwich 6b 884

The best match I can see for him in 1901 - although his age is a few months out  :-\

1901
RG13/2721 161 29
West Bromwich, Staffordshire
29 Slater St

Jesse Bullas, head, 30, Shoeing and General Blacksmith, b. Staffs Kates Hill
Ann, wife, 30, Dressmaker, own account, at home, b. Walsall Wood
Jessie M, dau, 6, b. Walsall
Albert O, son, 4, b. do.
Fredrick W, son, 2, b. Great Bridge

Gobbo, I believe that one is Frederick Bullas registered Sep 1898 Dudley.

In 1911, the Frederick William found earlier is apparently aged 11, living in Aston district - age correct this time then

Hello Gobbo

Thanks for the info .

Just see what I mean about our dear Fred...he pops up everwhere :(  but all threads are appreciated as I will track him down as there is an empty branch to this tree at the mo.

Kind Regards

Marriage

Sep 1920
Portsmouth 2b 1206
Frederick W Bullas - Doris E N Souden

The marriage certificate would confirm Frederick's father's name

Just for the record, Doris seems to have been her actual first name:
Birth Doris Elleen N Sowden
