Lookup request: Rattlesden, Suffolk DEVEREUX

Hello, I'm looking for help to pin down the birth year (by baptismal record) for John Devereux, born around 1615 to Sir Walter Devereux and his wife Elizabeth.  Sir Walter himself was born in Warwickshire and his wife in Staffs, but sometime before 1616 they came to occupy (at least part-time) Marlsford Hall near Marlford.  Ancestry.com gives birthplace for John, their youngest son,  as "Rattlesden, Sussex," but this is likely a mistake for Rattlesden Suffolk.

I have no idea what is the source for this birthplace.  Rattlesden would not have been the parish where a child born to a couple living in Marlford would have been taken for baptism, would it?   Nevertheless, it seems the best place to start.  If someone could look for me at old parish registers for Rattlesden I would be greatly obliged. 

Bit of background:

A John Devereux emigrated to Massachusetts in 1630, giving his home parish as Stoke by Nayland.  His age at departure is not stated.  This emigrant John may or may not have been the John born to Walter Devereux and his wife Elizabeth Knightly.  Lore in Marblehead, Essex County Massachusetts, where he became a prominent citizen, says that he was.  I cannot tell whether he himself spoke of  this kinship in his lifetime or whether later chroniclers  endowed him with it.

If anyone reading this has another suggestion on where to look for record of John Devereux's baptism (whether there was one John or two) I would also appreciate that.

This a Submitted record on Family search, the only reason I post this as it may suggest that he was christened later in life,so may also be worth a look in the Northampton registers as well as other counties

I'll search further afield, though the submitted record contains errors such as saying Marblehead is in "Essex, England"  that make  an eyebrow go up. I really appreciate your getting back so quickly.
