Thorntons of Tralee
« on: Tuesday 21 July 09 21:08 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I am looking for any information on the Thornton family who originally came from Tralee.

My gg grandfather was John Thornton b1831, he married Mary Corbett b1842 .

Before they moved to South Wales I know that there were two children born in Ireland - Mary Ann Thornton b 1860, and Margaret Thornton b 1862.

I know that it's not much to go on, but I'd be grateful if anyone has any information to share.

Best Wishes,
Catie

Hi Catie,

I think he had a brother James born 1839 who married in 1903 Margaret who was 7 years older than him, no children !!

They lived in 46, Abbey Street, Tralee
