Babs,

My apologies for piggy backing on your post, but:

Chris,

It's me again.

Do you have baptismal or marriage records for Arlington?  If so, I am looking for the Towner name appearing in the mid- 1700's.

Thanks,

Jann

Hi Barbara,

Burial records are slowly being added to the SFHG database, fortunately Arlington being an 'A' is first !

Edward Manser 32y 12 Oct 1847
Elizabeth Manser 30 Jan 1764

No, sorry, I do not have Marriage records for Arlington; but on the Sussex Marriage Index there is only one:-

Location: Arlington, East Sussex,  Date: 23 Jun 1729:
Bride: Elizabeth TOWNER, widow (TOURNER in Challen transcripts)
Groom: Richard WATERS,
Married by Banns.

Hi Barbara

Are you looking for any particular years or names?

Findmypast has burials so I could maybe find some for you for Arlington but without a name or some years there are 6 pages to wade through!

Hi Kerry,
Sorry for delay in replying, the date Edward Manser died was 9 Oct 1847, family were told he is buried in Arlington Sussex, prior to this he had been living Bromley Kent. The spelling of surname is sometimes spelt with Mancer not ser.

Thanks
Barbara
