SIM/SIMMS 1841 census - at Newton
« on: Sunday 27 February 05 20:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I am hoping that the SIM/SIMMS family (boatpeople) can be found on the 1841 census at Newton or Hardingswood.

William SIMMS  b abt 1814 (boatman)
Elizabeth b1816 wife b Cheshire
Sarah b 1839 - Middlewich

There may be a few other children born before Sarah.

Thank You,
Genie

Hi Genie
I think Hardings Wood is in Staffs ? and there are so many Newtons in Cheshire, which one do you mean.

Hi,
Thank you for advising me that Hardingswood is in Staffordshire. Newton, I have been told is a small area near Middlewich. Sorry, I did not know that there were many.

Thank you,
Genie
