1841/51 HERTS CENSUS LOOK-UP - WARD

I am looking for my 3 x great grandfather and his family in the 1841 and 1851 census. His name is Daniel Ward (born c1783 and died 1860) and is believed to have been living in the Bendish, Whitwell or Pauls Walden area of Hertfordshire. Known children were: Maria, John and Caroline but there may be others. Any information from these censuses would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly neither the name index for the 1841 or 1851 is available for sale, and the geographical area you suggest would take a good deal of time to check.  However, the 1851 for Hertfordshire has been indexed, and is available for viewing at HALS.  If you cannot visit in person, and no-one comes to your aid with a look up, you may want to think about using HALS research service.  Simple queries are relatively inexpensive.
