Marriage Records
« on: Thursday 23 July 09 11:52 BST (UK) »
Hi there,

I have found a marriage of a William Greenaway Poole and Elizabeth Sarah Perry married 19/5/1830 at St Bride Fleet Street, London on Family Search site.

How do I go about and get a copy of there marriage certificate as I tried on online census and it said they cant as it is before 1837.

Any suggestions  :) Alison

Prior to 1837 there were no marriage certificates.  If you want a copy of the marriage entry from the parish register, then you would need either to contact Guildhall Library/London Metropolitan Archives in London, where the original registers are deposited, or see if you can view the microfilm yourself perhaps at an LDS Family History Centre.  You would have to order the film (fee payable).

Have a look here: http://www.rootschat.com/links/06r9/  for information about prints from the records.
