Durban records
« on: Saturday 25 July 09 09:31 BST (UK) »
A family came over here  from Durban.   Does anyone know if it's possible to access BMD records online - I've tried the NAAIRS site but I think I must be using it wrong.  I see on another query a list of deaths gained from this site but I don't seem to be able to access anything.

Hi there, please read the beginners guide as it explains research in SA. Naairs is only a reference tool for documents held in the archives but it is the best point to start any research. There are no online bmd but various sites have transcriptions as they are being done eg Ancestry.co.za. post some names and maybe we can help.
