hi

ive been doing my tree awhile, but helping mother in law do hers, we are waiting on birth cert, but i was just wondering if theres any way of finding anything in the mean time

james frederick holt 02.06.1924 born, hoxton hackney

he was in the merchant navy and died in 1987

but thats all we have, any thoughts on where i could look for more info ?

There's a marriage on FreeBMD for James F Holt and Elsie E Rose in Hackney March Quarter 1945 Vol 1b Page 617.  Can't at present see any children for them.

cant see him in 1924 Hackney - but this may be him ..

Looks like Pastmaster has the correct James.
There is a death for a James Frederick Holt in Feb 1989 aged 66, dob 2/6/1922 Hackney.
