Hi,

I don't know if I have a Jones you're interested in, but I have an Edith JONES b. 1884 who married Henry JACKSON in 1910 at St. John the Baptist in Earlestown. Edith and Henry lived in Athol Street, Earlestown.

Sugarbakers website at  www.mawer.clara.net/sugarjj.html
Hi Bryan,

Are you collecting details of people on the census who worked at Sankey Sugar?

I'm from Newton-le-Willows. I come across employees of Sankey Sugar while researching my Newton ancestors.

I also come across bits and pieces in historical editions of the local newspaper, also.

I'm about to check out your website. NOTE: I just tried the above link but the page wasn't found. Do you have an up-to-date link?

Sorry Rowan, circumstances have made it necessary for me to change ISP, hence a new website address.

https://www.sugarbakers.co.uk

So the page you were looking for is  ... www.sugarbakers.co.uk/loc-earles.html ... but also check the database as I've since added more info from the later censuses.
Thank you for thinking of the website, and I'll be happy to add anything further.
