Do try it a lot of knowledgeable people on there.
I actually live 10 mins away from Ridlington if I can do anything else let me know.
There are still Crowdens in the area.
Happy hunting Kim ;)

Hi again,
This pure coincidence but while doing a 1881 census search of Ayston I came across a family of Crowden's I don't know if they belong to you or not.
Ayston is a very small village app 2miles from Ridlington and Preston.
Here's what it showed.

John Crowden  Head  Farmer of 200 acres Born Morcott c1821
Dinah                Wife                                    Born Edith Weston c1821
Robert               son    Farmers son             Born Seaton c1865
Lucy                   daughter                           born Seaton c1860
Sarah J? Crowden                                       BornSeaton c1864?

Let me know if this is of any help
Regards Kim

Hi kimmery24,
Thanks again for this, no doubt these Crowdens will fit in somewhere just a matter of where. I haven't had a look at any records for Ayston yet, it gives me another place to look I think I'm going to be busy trying to link all of these Crodens together along with their different ways of spelling.
Still it keeps me out of trouble, so the wife tells me anyway! :)

Thanks again
