Mary anne's parents were James and Mary McKie.   I have the family through to 1891, mum died in 1887

Not that one, I checked earlier and also the one in Kirkmaiden

both were the daughters of Ann McKie

There are quite a few Mary A McKie (variations) with that approx birth date  on the Passenger lists leaving UK 1891-1901.

Hi Gadget,

I don't think she immigrated, she was the sister of my grt-grt grandfather Robert McKie.  I think she must have married however it is hard to pin down on SP. I will take the punt and order Ev's suggestion

Hi elidh - don't order them - I've checked them and they're not her unless she was the illegitimate daughter of Ann McKie.

No she definitely was not illegitimate her parents were James McKie and Mary Nish.
