~ 1841-1851-1861 ~ Look ups, please ** COMPLETED ** with thanks
« on: Friday 31 July 09 03:06 BST (UK) »
Hello

Would be most grateful of some help, please.   :)

[And I trust that I have posted this to the correct board ?]

Seeking family of ~

Amelia AMBROSE - born Dec. 1830 - Battersea
Parents:   John and Lucy

(Other possible children  - John / Sophia / Robert / Lucy / Sarah -  born between 1826-1837)

1861

(Amelia has married and left England by this time - her father John,  is I think, deceased? ) ...  but I would like to find her mother, Lucy AMBROSE in 1861 (and any family members who may be living with her).

Many thanks.   :)

Lu

That is ALL just so brilliant Ian  ... very many thanks.    :)

[And yes, I did  have to chug off to the "weird occupations department" to satisfy myself as to the duties of a "Pew opener". ]   :D

Thanks again.

:D    Whoops ...  sorry, of course I should have posted that.

Pew Opener

1)     A person hired to open the doors to private pews.

2)     Pew opener - went down the aisles of a church, opening the private boxed pews which were rented by (the wealthier) members of the congregation.
                             ------------------------------

Nice work if you can get it ... huh ?     ;D
