Yes, I did have the IGI listings thanks ... but it was such a large brood, spread over a good number of years, that I just needed confirmation that the same John and Lucy AMBROSE were the parents.   [Hmm ... looks like "Ma and Pa" each had a great "innings" too ?]

My husband's family descend from John Ambrose and Lucy Jay's son, Frederick William Ambrose (m Henrietta Weller 1872, Trinity Church, Parish of Upper Chelsea, Middlesex, England), they had a son Frederick William Ambrose (b1863 London and d 10 May 1909, Paddington NSW, Australia).  Cheers M
