Thanks again Sue. Yes I saw on my map how close Horsley and Heanor are - I suppose that's what puzzles me. I have a some  families who move from a Bedfordshire village to Yorkshire; this somehow makes more sense to me than more than one family moving so short a distance  ??? Oh well gives me something to ponder. Regards Jan  ;)

Thanks for the kind offer Sylvia. I have access to the 1901 census thank you. I'm probably going off on a wildgoose chase anyway, looking for random Horsley Noons of a later date to see if they might shed light on my Hannah and Ann (you will no doubt remember them from my other Noon thread ::) ???) The Samuel age 27 I'm looking for in 1851 was most likely another illigitimate offspring of Ann and therefore brother/half brother to Hannah. Thank you for your continued interest and amazing access to Noons ;) Jan
