Anyone going to Yorkshire Archaeological Society?
« on: Tuesday 04 August 09 01:25 BST (UK) »
... at Claremont, 23 Clarendon Road, Leeds, LS2 9NZ?

If so, please could you look at the following reference?

Hopkinson's Coats of Arms and Pedigrees for Yorkshire Families [copy]  MD335/13/2  [19th century]

I would love a copy of something in Volume 2 (MD335/13/2/2) - apparently there is a pedigree of the NALSON family of Methley, Yorkshire.

If someone could do it, I'm happy to pay travel / photocopying costs. PM me to arrange.

Hi:  have you tried asking YAS direct for a copy of the entry.  They've been very helpful to me in the past.  I wrote to them in 2008, and they responded fairly quickly.  You have the exact details of the entry you require, so it should be fairly straight-forward.  And, if you don't ask the question, then you don't get an answer!  ;)

Hi,
Would this pedigree be listed in Foster's yorkshire pedigree's?
If so there are copies in most West Yorkshire librarys.

Andy

There’s a little bit about Nalson in the Visitation of Yorkshire 1612 under Flower. Also the Thoresby Sc did a paper called The Nalsons of Methley and Altofts. Hope this helps. I’m actively researching Flower, Nalson and Shann if you’d like to swop notes

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
