1871 or 1891 census look up please Bevan

Would someone please do a look up on the 1871 or 1891 census for William Bevan born 1835 ish,
I have him on the 1881 census for Stafford at 187 189 high street, Stafford.
Would be much appreciated if you can find this family for me please.

Hi again Sandra - I see you are still searching for the Bevans 

If I've found the correct Bevans in 1881, this could be them in 1891, although the ages are slightly out I think the POB and occupation  fit. On the original Clara's age has been crossed out and 49 has been written next to it.

RG 12 piece 2313 folio 49 page 16  living at 1 Norton (?) Road Kidderminster Worcestershire

If this is the family I don't know what's happened to the younger children that were there in 1881.


I can't see the family in the 1871, but looking at where the children were born, according to the 1881 census, they must have been in the Bloxwich area of Staffordshire. I've tried various spellings but no luck!

Hi Jan,

Yep still searching. Those butchers wives came to nothing in Cwm Ebbw Vale. I traced them all
but no Bevan wives.

Anyway trying to eliminate now and sort out the families. That way I will know which are not
ours.   Our George has to be there somewhere.

Thanks for the information Trish, you have confirmed that it is the same chap that I was researching too, he is the brother of my ancestor Susannah Bevan. born 1835 I am going through the siblings because I think that Thomas was possibly married before Ester Jones (m 1837) but to who ?
