Hi
Can anybody tell me anything about the village Ballyduff nr Camolin in Co Wexford?
I am trying to research the ''Furlong'' Family But i can't seem to find any info or where to go to search marriage, birth & death records?

Biddy( Bridget) Furlong c 1880's? MARRIED A Mr Walker and they both came from the Ballyduffy village. I believe she had a sister called Ellen Furlong whom married a William Sunderland
I am hoping somebody on here is also researching these names and can help me in any way?

Civil records (from 1864) you can search an index at familysearch : http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable  (non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845)

For earlier records you will need parish records, but there are no online sources at the moment that I know of for Co. Wexford. Many counties are currently included on the Irish Family History Foundation (pay) website, I hope they plan to include Wexford records at some stage.

To find out availability of surviving records see the Co. Wexford section on the Irish Times website at : http://www.rootschat.com/links/06us/

Many Catholic records are available at National Library on microfilm (http://www.nli.ie) . For Church of Ireland records check into the Representative Church body (http://rcb.ireland.anglican.org).

Hi There
Thank you for your reply.
I live in England so difficult for me to go to the church for records? You say there are Furlongs still in the area, I am looking for descendents of my Great Grandfather ''Thomas Furlong'' who married an ''Ellen Thorpe'' c 1860s/70s they had a Daughter ''Ellen Furlong'' and other children.
If you could help in anyway I would be most grateful
Thank you
