FAGAN, LUKE in Caslanakirka
« on: Friday 07 August 09 18:47 BST (UK) »
FAGAN, LUKE   my great great grandfather who farmed in Caslanakirka, Westmeath county came to Iowa about 1868. He was born about 1826 in Ireland. He married Sarah Richards in 1849 in New York.   They had 12 children, many born in Illinois and a few in Iowa.
FAGAN, PATRICK  may be his brother who was farming on the same farm land in the 1911 census.
FAGAN, JOHN   ...is possibly the father of Luke and Patrick.

I found a church baptism record for Luke Fagan born 18 Mar 1824 in the Collinstown Parish/District. Westmeath county.
The father is listed as Pat Fagan and mother is listed at Margaret McCabe. The sponsors are listed as William Fagan and Mary McGee.
