HI : I am interested in an Alexander Booth who was a potter in Bo'ness. He is listed in the 1851 census as age 22 and born in England. There is a Thomas Booth also born in England.
The reason I ask is I have a Alexander Booth Wallace born 1859 in Bo'ness , forth son to James Wallace and Mary Buchanan. I find it unusual that this boy has those two names and his father was also a potter.
There is no mention of the name " Booth" in the family history so far and I thought Scottish naming customs would mean the middle name should have some sort of significance. I am wondering if there is a connection between these two families and it so , what is it? Or perhaps they just liked the guy and his name?? Thanks. Donna
