Hi Snoons. I posted this request under Victoria death look up and someone has replied that Alexander KIRK died 1865 but was 47 years old so I don't think it can be the same one. Says he was born in Dunf. Don't know where this might be. This is very disappointing but perhaps I will try other states. I don't know how much ex-convicts moved about. Thanks again for your interest.
