Hi Carole
I have posted the John Robson mystery on here a few times so this problem is known about, in the baptism of Eleanor born 1809 it say Eleanor 3rd Daughter fo Armstrong and Jane Douglas, i found Jane born 1801, but was Elizabeth other daughter?

Thanks
Allan

Hi

Quote
I have posted the John Robson mystery on here a few times so this problem is known about

Not by myself and Michael

I have checked my Vital Records Index and no daughter Elizabeth but they did have a son John Urwin b 1803

John URWIN  born 10 March 1803 christened  5 June 1803    All Saints Northumberland

Father  Armstrong URWIN    Mother Jane DOUGLAS
Mother's Father John DOUGLAS

It's always possible that Elizabeth was a cousin or such like rather than Eleanor's sister.  There are quite a few Elizabeth Irwin/Urwin baptisms in Northumberland on the IGI

Just addressing something said by Carole about her and I not knowing about Allan's "known" problem.

I did in fact know about Allan's known ( I would call it well known, lol ) problem about his long search for baptism of John Robson.

In fact Allan might remember me searching baptisms in (was it ? ) Hetton le Hole looking for John Robson's, about 6 years ago.

But I did not connect Allan's current query with the "old" one until I read Allan's latest message.

The search goes on....
