Hi Alfy

Nice to see you back again  ;)

This looks to be the marriage (or banns) for John Cambell and Christina Wright in 1826 www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XTTP-PXN

Have you seen this www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/9Q84-SLH (could well be yours!).

Possible 1841 census entry for John Campbell, wife Christina and children www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5a14e77bf4040b9d6eee58d0/colin-campbell-1841-lanarkshire-barony-1838-?locale=en

And 1851 www.freecen.org.uk/search_records/5a150fe6f4040b9d6e1b0fd8/colin-campbell-1851-lanarkshire-barony-1838-?locale=en

Maybe some connected deaths in Bridgeton (Colin died in 1907 in Bridgeton):

1880 Margaret CAMPBELL age 51 Mother's MN Wright
1886 Catherine CAMPBELL, age 55. Mother's MN Wright

I think this is John in 1861, his last census before his death:

James Barr 54
James Barr 32
John Barr 20
Margaret Barr 14
Elizabeth Barr 13
Mary Barr 10
John Campbell 60 Brother-in-law Cotton Weaver b. Glasgow

Address: 62 Rottenrow, Glasgow/ Central

There is a marriage/banns for an Ann Campbell and a James Barr on 17 May 1835 in Glasgow. Might be a sister to Thomas and John?

There is a death for an Ann Campbell/Barr in Blackfriars in 1888. Aged 84 and mother's maiden name of Tennant  :-\ so not sure about this therefore. Can't see another possible death so far though.

Hi Monica once again thank you for your help and leads, I have seen your first reply as for a sister Ann I’m not sure, the issue I came across with John Campbell and Francis forrester is my own Thomas Campbell there sons birth can be found so possibly more children than John, James, Lillias and Colin.

On ancestry I’m connected three dna to a Colin Campbell but his death cert his parents are John Campbell and euphoniua forrest.  As for the son john I mentioned on the forum on Lanarkshire page where is William looks promising for other children of him going by the address. The Campbells didn’t make it easy specially when your 3x great grandparents were both Campbells.

Hi Alfie, can I ask, where is Thomas's mother reported as Frances rather than Euphemia? I can't see either name (Frances or Euphemia) coming up for the naming of a daughter for any of the children you know about. Might be an error somewhere on reporting.

Just seen on someone's tree the DC for Colin who died in Bridgeton, married to Elizabeth Gray. Mother showing as Euphemia on that cert.

The death of John, also in 1864 and Bridgeton, mother showed also as Euphemia didn't she?

Colin Campbell who married Elizabeth Gray died 2 Sep 1867 address 31 Dale st Bridgeton ( this is the one with John Campbell & euphenia Forrest). The two DNA connections to me on Ancestry.

If Colin's death reg is the only one that mentions mother as Euphemia, could well be an error by informant perhaps.
