. Great to see the Certificate of freedom and I have now found the ticket of leave. Is there usually more information on the original ie is it worth sending for the originals all the way to UK?

I have a 1836 Ticket of Leave, so I presume the information would be the same. Headings are;

Prisoner's number
Name
Ship's Master
Year
Native Place
Trade or Calling
Offence
Place of Trial
Date of Trial
Sentence
Year of Birth
Height
Complexion
Hair
Eyes
General Remarks
Allowed to remain in the District of.............

This information is mostly found on the original Convict Transport List. With my ancestor, only 8 of the above headings were completed.

His 1847 Conditional Pardon had the same headings, and all were completed. "Luck of the draw", I suppose?
