I have traced my family back to anthonie curteous who married agnes naylor in ossett june 1635. I cannot find marriage banns to enable me to  find anthonies birth and there is no record of any curtis in ossett prior to his marriage..have found an anthonie curtise who married grace crook 18 nov 1604 at weston , perhaps his parents but I cant make a connection ? any ideas please.       Also in 1644 anthonie was a tenant of the thomas liversedge estate and lived at nether croft ossett, does anyone know of this,?? does the name still exist ?
