i do check in now and then to see what is oging on or see if htereis anyone searching for the same as i am, it is awhiel since i logged in an dit is a pleasant surprise to find there is a grand daughter of margaret luch and i iwl lbe able to swop information when she gets back in touch with me have already sent a message to her,

while looking for margaret lucy cook married ernest albert henderson, also found margaret must  have married a fellow called roles.
the only one i could find was ernest sydney roles(dick), .....

Hi there, I learnt a few new things I didn't know of here. It's a well of information I never got to meet  Dick as he had passed on a long time before I was born. I do know that my Grandma and him are buried together at the same grave location in Enfield.                                  I had a quick chat with my family in SA today, and filled them in on this forum(they hadn't any idea this place existed either!). Deidre, I'll inbox you back shortly, I'm still figuring out how to navigate around the site

Ernest Sydney Role's War Service files are not yet digitised, but the details about how to obtain them were mentioned earlier in this thread back in August 2009, at reply no. 7.  It usually takes less than three months to have applications to the NAA result in the digitisation of those files and thus being then uploaded onto their website.

margaret lucy cook was the daughter of frederick wiliam cook, my grandmothers brother, my grand mother was lucy cook, there was a split in this family years ago and noone knows why or what happened, i can only presume it has something to do with fanny mader/cook nee gill, suicide in 1906
