any help, please
« on: Friday 28 August 09 10:38 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out any information on a Adaline Pollington, born 1885, Dublin Ireland,  who emigrated to South Africa, on 12/12/1919.  She was actualy christened Adaline Ward, but lived with a Charles Pollington, and had children, with him.  charles died in the WW! she assumed his name before going to S Africa.  I would have thought that, by doing this, as it was just her, who travelled with her three daughters and one son, that she must have been going out to Charles family, or relatives of his.
I wondered if anyone were able to find her on the census, at all.  Or that of her children.
Unfortunately I do not know their full first names, but the ships list does say
Master FJ Pollington age 15
Miss I                        age 12
Miss e                       age 6
Miss J                        age 1
They arrived on theship, called  Edinburgh Castle
I appreciate any help, thank you very much
