I'm hoping someone may be able to help me decipher and locate this address from a letter written in 1930.

I am attempting to add an image to this post. I hope it works.

Many thanks.

Looks like Glenbullock St(ation) to me. haven't found a reference to one on google.

Might pay to call/mail the local council or postoffice.

That was quick, thanks Mick.

Good idea - think I'll try the local PO first.

There is a Glentulloch nr, Injune, QLD 4454
Location of Glentulloch
From Injune, 20.46kms NW (25.7kms, 33mins driving)

I have tried to find a C* LOUGHMAN on the 1930 Qld electoral roll but am not having much luck.

Cheers
Cando

Edit to add location.

There is a ph no in the white pages for Glentulloch Grazing Company at Injune.

Injune also has a Glentulloch Rd from what I can see on google.

Thanks very much to Mick, Daizi and Cando. I am enlightened!  ;D

I had it completely wrong.  :-[

I did not see that the first line was a person's name, C. Loughman which it certainly does look like. I saw it as cloughman which made no sense, and I saw Glenbullock rather than Glentulloch.

Glentullock sounds like a Scottish name so I wonder if the property was owned by a Scot. The girl who wrote the letter was born in Scotland and came to Australia with her sister to be housekeepers.

Thank you again.  :)

I've just done a bit of googling armed with the correct property name, and I believe that the family may have been Loughnan.  ;D
