Look ups Colchester

Dose any one have an interest in Colchester I have Bennell Family's I would like to have looked up at St Botolph, St Giles, St James and Mary at the Walls 1700-1830 can anyone help with these Parishes

  Still looking for Bennells Colchester my Bennells where there untill 1835 when they came to Australia there line was James Bennell b.abt 1735 married Mary Chambers Oakley there son Jonh Bennell b. abt 1771-4 married Mary Munsey Colchester, children John B. 1800 Whitechaple London m. Mary Wallace Surry and James Bennell b. 1806 Married Hepzabab Beaumont Colechester.John Junior Came to Tasmania in 1832 with wife and daughter his fatherJohn  and brother James with wife and son came in 1835

married Edward Abraham Ham
*daughter of Joseph Bennell  ( christened 30/09/1776 Independant Meeting
House Lion Walk Colchester) and Hannah Hardy Married 27/3/1806

Joseph Bennell born 2/07/1776 st Botolphs Colchester son of James Bennell b 1739 St johns Green Colchester and Mary Chambers Oakley married 23/01/1763 at St Mary at the wall Church Colchester

Mary was the daughter of Joseph Oakley and Susanna Chambers

I can check the parish records during the week if you let me know what else you would like me to look for
Incidently The Church St Mary at the walls is very famous.  Look up the nursery Rhyme  Humpty Dumpty and colchester on google and you can read the tale

Yes that's the family I have found a Baptism for my John B.abt.1773 Lions Walk there was no birth date all the other brothers and sisters have both , so I am still tyring to find his birth, also his wife Mary Munsey born abt 1775  I haven't found anything on her they were married in Colchester so if you can find anything on who she was I would be grateful or Johns Birth Johns father was a Bricklayer/ Builder so was John junior

will do my best Incidently ther is a Sarah Munsey married William Collins on 9th december 1813 st Martins church colchester which again is in the town centre Could be a relative

Did you know you can see some of the Colchester Parish Registers online? The Essex Record Office has digitized a lot of the early ones and you can find them on http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk

Click on IMAGES and type "Colchester Parish Registers" in the Search Criteria box.

This info might help a bit more Mary Munsey she had a sister called Sarah b. abt 1784 she married a Johnathan Beaumont in Colchester in1805. another name connected to them is a Elizabeth Sach who I think is there Mother (not sure) that's all I know of Mary
