One of my ancestors has Ewidesland given as place of birth in the 1881 census. I am guessing that this should be Eardisland - unless anyone knows different?

Hi Pete,

I would say that's a good guess. Have you checked on other census details to see what they say?

No luck with 1901 or 1891, Tabitha. He was born in 1812 so might not have made it that far!
