I wonder if Wm's PoB is Broxted - mashed into what we've seen in 1861/71 ?

Actually, looking at it - 1871 IS Broxted !

If so, most of the Dunmow area 1851 Cenus is missing - includes Thaxted !

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/searchresults.asp?SearchInit=0&txtsearchterm=dunmow&txtfirstdate=1851&txtlastdate=1851&txtrestriction=ho&hdnsorttype=Reference&image1.x=29&image1.y=10

But if it is Broxted, theres a good candidate for Wm Perry in 1841 ... but no sign of a Winsper  ..... so put that marriage on the back-burner  :(
