1911 census- missing townlands?

Has anyone else noticed that the transcription of the 1911 census online lacks certain townlands? Molly and Aghindiagh in DED Doon seem not to be there.

I've found that Aghadowey has been listed as Aghadowney and Cah (Garvagh DED) is listed as Cam so perhaps there are other mistakes like this. There is a facility to report transcription errors with names, ages, etc. but not the names of places.

Yes I'm sorry for people who don't know their way round the local names; there are problems with the transcriptions, and as you say there seems to be no way to contact the organizers, through the website at any rate.

I found some of the ones that I knew should be in certain places by searching by different combinations such as first name/age/DED, surname (with * as wildcard)/age, etc.

I have noticed that all of the household returns for the townlands for the whole of Drumully DED are missing from the 1911 census in Fermanagh. When you click on the townland it merely says 'no householders'.

Perhaps the returns themselves are missing?

There appears to be no means of contacting anyone to find out whether
these returns exist or have been missed/forgotten about.

Well unfortunately the townlands in census do not match parish register but meet electoral areas but most probably they are there. My lot were in Ematris parish, Co Monaghan but in census they come under Cootehill, Co Cavan....simple!

Just use Irish logic!

People are recorded in the census under the townland and townlands are under DEDs (District Electoral Divisions).
You can find the DEDs for a townland (if you are having trouble finding it in 1911 census because mis-indexed) in LDS online catalogue.
1. Go to online catalogue-
www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
2. click on 'Place Search' button which takes you to this page
3. type in name of parish in 'place' box and click 'search'
4. click on link that comes up for the place you want
5. click on link to 1911 census, then click on next link
6. click on 'view film notes' button and scroll down to 1911 census to see DEDs with townlands included in that DED

Thanks for the help but the townlands of Drumully DED are listed but the link states that no householders resided there - this means over a dozen townlands are not available for 1911 online
