Surely James aged 2 in 1841 can't be the son of William and Mary. Mary would have been in her mid 50's when James was born; an unlikely scenario.

I have Frances Baxter and Abraham Corn in my tree, but haven't researched this Baxter line

Hi bedfordshire boy,

James is on the 1841 census with William & Mary in Toseland, but of course no relationship shown and after that date not found.
Abraham & Frances are my maternal GGGrandparents.

On looking again at my Baxters, apart from Frances, they all seem to be from Yelling, which seems to be a different branch emanating from William born c1793 in Duloe, Beds. The Toseland branch seems to come from your William from Papworth St Agnes.

I haven't found any link between the two branches (yet!)

Hi David,

I noticed that there are some Baxters in Yelling, a William married to a Dinah Grange 1814 first child sarah 1815 and a William and a Anne?
Daughter Elizabeth 1822.

There may be more if you haven't got them and are interested.

This is the branch that I've followed. William who married Dinah was born at Duloe, Eaton Socon, but I can't pinpoint his baptism
