William Powell born c 1837 Cymau parish of Hope

Hi all,
I am searching for the baptism of William Powell born in Cymau 1837 which is in the parish of Hope.
He turns up on the census of 1871 married to Elizabeth also born Hope - I think they were married in 1864 St Cynfarchs Hope but cannot be sure. 
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

His age is a bone of contention too I'm afraid

Elizabeth '' wife  age 29  b Hope
Sarah Elizabeth dau 5 b Hope
Ann Ellen  dau  1  b Hope

1881 Wales census ref RG11/3567/28/16

William Powell Head age 44 b not clearly stated but all above are Hope with ditto marks under them
Elizabeth wife age 40 as above
Sarah E dau 14 as above
Ann E dau 11 scholar b Hope (on the next page it is clearly stated)
John B son scholar 9 b Hope
William son scholar 6 b Hope
Caroline dau scholar 4 b Hope
Cordelia dau 4 months b Hope
He is now a Farmer of 61 acres at Cymmau Ffynnon Farm employing 1 man

William Powell Head age 53 Farmer b Cymmau ( which is parish of Hope)
Elizabeth wife age 52 b Gwersyllt
John B son age 19 occ Farmers son b Cymmau
William T age 16 occ Farmers son b Cymmau
Caroline dau age 14 occ Domestic servant at home b Cymmau
Cordelia dau age 10 scholar b Hope
 So he was born between 1837 and 1841  presumably in Cymmau, Llanfynydd or Hope - he married either one or two Elizabeths  possibly one from Hope and the other from Gwersyllt - you can see why I am confused.
I cant find him on the 1861/1851 or 1841 census but there is a marriage in 1864 in Hope St Cynfarchs between a William Powell and an Elizabeth Lewis ( whose family I can track to Gwersyllt on the census)
Any help is greatfully received - I haven't yet ordered the marriage cert before I can trace a Christening as I am not 100% sure its the right marriage as its 6 years before the first child is born in 1870. I have just ordered Carolines birth certificate to get the mothers surname as it was easy to trace thankfully.

Just had Carolines birth certificate and the mothers surname is Lewis - I assume that the Hope marriage is correct then?

Elizabeth Lewis. 24. spinster. abode, Cymmau. Father, Thomas. Lab
Witnesses Samuel Williams & Mary Williams.

The only baptisms I could see for children of William & Elizabeth Powell in Hope up to 1878 are.
May 31 1866. Sarah Elizabeth.
July 26 1868. Thomas.

This could be William's parents marriage Hope Aug 15 1835

Hi Paul,
Thank you very much for the information - I think I can start demolishing this brickwall bit by bit now hopefully. Any baptism info on William should be at Clwyd FHS as its likely to be 1837 dob hopefully.
